Job summary

Luxoft Bengaluru is seeking a senior Network Test Engineer to verify data center routing and switching platforms and validate feature functionality at scale.

You will design test strategies, build topologies, develop automation in Python, and work with Spirent/IXIA, VMware NSX/OpenStack, and Linux environments.

This role requires 8+ years in Networking/Telecom testing, strong communication, and a proactive, self-driven attitude to support customer deployments and issue resolutions.

Qualifications

• BS/B.E./B.Tech in CS/EE/ECE with strong networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience in testing Data Center networks and security.
• Experience with test automation and scalable test topologies.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Test and validate feature functionality and system test profiles for data center networks, security, and routing technologies.
• Develop test strategy, topology, and plan to validate features end-to-end at scale.
• Execute test cases, document results, and validate interoperability and customer deployment scenarios.
• Collaborate with development to translate requirements into high-quality test automation.
• Develop automation for end-to-end solution validation and integrate it for seamless validation.
• Review deployments and customer issues, addressing gaps in test coverage and assist in escalations.

Product verification & testing for Data Center routing & switching platforms - Major Enterprise Networking equipment provider

Responsibilities

• o Work closely with development engineering, product management, and customer solution engineering team to test and validate feature functionality and system test profiles for data center networks, network security and routing technologies.o Develop test strategy, test topology and test plan to validate the features end-to-end at scale with network security considerationso Understand various customer deployments and solutions across data center networks, security, routing and switching and validate customer profileso Execute test cases and validate the various features and document the test results on interoperability and customer deployment scenarioso Collaborate with development team to translate software requirements into high-quality test automation suiteso Debug and troubleshoot complex issues and work closely with the engineering team on the failures and validate the fixeso Develop automation for the end-to-end solution validation and integrate the automation for seamless validationo Review customer deployments and customer found issues and address any gaps in the test coverageo Involve in customer deployments and customer escalations and help the customers to deploy Client's solutions in their environment

• o Minimum of B.S./B.E./B.Tech in CS/EE/ECE/ITo 8+ years of relevant industry experience in Networking/Telecom- Embedded/Network Management with hands-on experience in functional, system test and automationo Proven technical knowledge and experience in testing Data Center Network platformso Proven technical knowledge and experience in Data Center Network - IP Fabric, VxLAN EVPN, Network Virtualization Frameworko Proven technical knowledge and experience in Network Security and Routing Protocols (MPLS, ISIS, BGP, Multicast)o Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in test plan development and validating scalable data center network and network security solutionso Experience in planning and building large scaled system test topologies with detailed knowledge of test automation tools and software test tools (Spirent, IXIA) and virtualization platforms such as VMware (vCenter, NSX), OpenStack and Linux OS variants such as Ubuntu, CentOS, KVMo Hands-on experience in developing test automation suites using Python or a similar scripting languageo Ability to develop and publish solution validation document and test reportso Strong verbal and written communication skills.
