Job summary

VuNet Systems in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead AI-powered testing for the VuSmartMaps Observability Platform. You will architect AI-assisted automation, validate cloud-native services, and partner with Engineering, SRE, and DevOps to ensure reliability and scale.

The role focuses on designing scalable validation frameworks, implementing AI-enabled workflows, and driving end-to-end quality across telemetry pipelines and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in test automation for cloud-native or enterprise apps.
• Strong proficiency in Python (preferred) or Go and related automation tools.
• Hands-on with Playwright and modern API/UI automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end quality strategy for the VuSmartMaps Observability Platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for APIs, UI, and telemetry pipelines.
• Build AI-assisted test automation using LLMs and AI agents.
• Develop AI Skill Definitions, prompts, and workflows for automated testing.
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, performance, and resilience tests.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitOps, Spinnaker, etc.).
• Collaborate with Engineering, SRE, and DevOps to drive Shift-Left quality.
• Mentor QA engineers and promote automation and AI testing best practices.

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to drive quality engineering for the VuSmartMaps Observability Platform through AI-enabled automation and modern testing practices. In this role, you will design intelligent test automation, build scalable validation frameworks, and leverage AI-assisted workflows to improve quality across cloud-native, distributed systems processing billions of telemetry events. Working closely with Engineering, Product, SRE, and DevOps teams, you will help ensure the platform is reliable, scalable, secure, and production-ready.

• Own the end-to-end quality strategy for the VuSmartMaps Observability Platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for APIs, UI, distributed services, and telemetry pipelines.
• Build AI-assisted test automation using LLMs, AI agents, and intelligent testing workflows.
• Develop reusable AI Skill Definitions, prompts, and workflows for automated test generation, validation, and regression testing.
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, performance, and resilience tests for distributed systems.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitOps, Spinnaker, or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with Engineering, SRE, and DevOps teams to drive Shift-Left quality practices.
• Mentor QA engineers and promote automation and AI testing best practices.

What You Bring

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in test automation for enterprise or cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred), Go, or similar programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and modern API/UI automation frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred skills

• Experience building AI-powered test automation using LLMs and AI coding assistants.
• Experience writing AI Skill Definitions and agentic testing workflows.
• Familiarity with observability technologies such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and ClickHouse.
• Knowledge of observability platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic Observability, or New Relic is an added advantage
