Job summary

Tetra Pak is seeking a seasoned Quality Engineer in India to lead inspections, implement quality systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Production, Planning and Supply Management. The role reports to the Quality Manager and drives improvements in CTQ metrics and CAPAs.

Ideal candidates have 7-8 years in quality control, strong knowledge of GD&T, ISO standards and fabrication processes, and experience with training and audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, industrial engineering or related field.
  • 7-8 years of experience in quality control / quality systems improvement or similar technical role.
  • Experience in Food industry preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in quality reporting formats and documentation.
  • Ability to provide quality-related training programs.
  • Team spirit, autonomous, pragmatic, rigorous, determined, tenacious, curious.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in-house inspections and ensure adherence to ISO/EN standards.
  • Analyze inspection data and interpret NDT results (PT, RT, DP).
  • Make informed decisions regarding deviations from procedures or specifications.
  • Manage and collaborate with external inspectors during audits and FATs.
  • Conduct training for fabrication personnel on quality procedures and standards.
  • Monitor critical-to-quality (CTQ) parameters
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS) including SOPs and TPM principles.
  • Develop and manage quality KPIs and KAIs to measure and improve performance.
  • Identify and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
  • Participate in global change management processes (TI resolution, IRs, etc.).
  • Lead WCM pillar or improvement teams for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain calibration . Conduct Measurement System Analysis) and GR&R studies.
  • Participate in HRA and legislations and statutory requirements like PED, CE etc.
  • Conduct supplier audits (PDQI) and ensure their adherence to quality standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Production, Planning, Logistics, IE, and Supplier Management.
  • Support new product development, raw material qualification, and process validation activities

What You Will Do

    • Support new product development, raw material qualification, and process validation activities
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Possess a minimum of 7-8 years of experience in Quality Control.
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of fabrication processes, equipment functions, and pressure vessel codes.
    • Possess in-depth knowledge of drawing interpretation and technical documentation -Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
    • Exhibit a comprehensive knowledge of ISO standards (9000, 3834-2, 22000) & EN standards
    • Familiarity with measurement tools.
