Job summary

EY India in Bengaluru is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design and implement robust automation for web and mobile apps using Java, Selenium, Appium and Rest Assured. You will build scalable frameworks and drive API testing and end-to-end validation.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality releases and participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to efficient CI/CD integration in a financial services tech context.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of software QA and test automation experience.
• Strong programming in Java.
• Hands-on Selenium WebDriver experience.
• Mobile automation experience with Appium (Android/iOS).
• REST API automation using Rest Assured.
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit frameworks.
• Knowledge of API testing, JSON, XML, and microservices.
• Experience with Jira for defect tracking.
• Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Git version control.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE 2) with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, Appium, and Rest Assured to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust automated test solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web and mobile applications.

• Extensive experience in REST API Automation using Rest Assured.
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit frameworks.
• Good understanding of API testing, JSON, XML, and Microservices architecture.
• Experience in defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Git version control.

Preferred Skills

• CI/CD experience using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Exposure to Docker and cloud environments.
• Experience working with SQL databases and backend validation.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools is an added advantage.
• Exposure to Banking or Financial Services domain is preferred.
