Job summary

Genea is seeking a QA Manual + Automation Engineer to assure quality across web and mobile apps. The role focuses on designing tests, building automated scripts with Selenium/Playwright, and performing API testing with Postman/Newman.

You will integrate tests into CI/CD, collaborate with DevOps, and contribute to AI-assisted testing efforts. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in testing, strong knowledge of automation frameworks, and a robust approach to test planning and defect

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 4+ years of experience with testing methodologies and manual testing.
• 3+ years of automation testing using Selenium/Playwright or similar.
• Strong manual testing and API testing background.
• Experience with Postman/Newman or similar.
• Knowledge of mobile app testing using Appium.
• Git version control familiarity.
• Comfort with adopting AI tools to improve quality engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and exploratory tests for web and mobile apps.
• Identify, log, and track defects in a bug-tracking tool.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements.
• Write and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium/Playwright or similar.
• Develop and maintain E2E and regression test automation suites.
• Create and execute API tests using Postman/Newman or similar tools.
• Validate API responses and status codes; verify error handling with assertions.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Coordinate with DevOps to run tests during releases.
• Create and maintain test plans, cases, and reports; provide detailed bug reports.

Overview:

We are looking for a QA Manual + Automation Engineer with a strong understanding of both manual and automation testing principles. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright , or similar tools, along with a solid background in manual testing and API testing. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our web and mobile applications by developing robust test cases and expanding automation coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute functional, regression, and exploratory tests for web and mobile applications.
• Identify, log, and track defects in a bug-tracking tool.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, and design) to understand testing requirements.
• Write and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright , or similar tools.
• Develop and maintain automation for end-to-end (E2E) and regression test suites.
• Create and execute API tests using tools like Postman, Newman, or similar frameworks.
• Validate API responses, status codes, and error handling using assertions.
• Integrate automation tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Collaborate with DevOps to ensure tests run automatically as part of the release process.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and reports.
• Provide detailed bug reports, reproduction steps, and test summary reports.
• Hands-on experience using AI-powered tools to improve software testing efficiency, including AI-assisted test automation, intelligent test case generation, defect prediction, and automation script maintenance.

• 4+ years of experience with a deep expertise in testing methodologies and manual testing.
• 3+ years of experience in automation testing using tools like Selenium,Playwright, or similar frameworks.

• Experience with API testing using Postman/Newman or similar tools.
• Knowledge of mobile app testing using Appium.
• Basic understanding of version control (Git).
