Refinitiv in Bengaluru seeks a Sr. QA Automation Engineer to lead automation strategy using Playwright/C#. You will architect testing standards, mentor teams, and drive CI/CD quality across features with AI-assisted tooling like Claude.
Responsibilities include maintaining UI/API test suites, participating in Agile ceremonies, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage while supporting deployment quality and production support.
Expert-level Playwright, API Testing, and Test Case Writing, with strong hands‑on experience in C#, Manual Testing, AI-driven Automation, and Claude for QA strategy, framework design, and test automation leadership. Candidate should be capable of defining automation architecture and testing standards, mentoring teams, driving CI/CD quality gates, and leading end‑to‑end quality engineering initiatives independently.
Learn, evaluate, and leverage cutting‑edge testing technologies and tools to drive efficiency and scalability.
Proactively research industry trends, emerging best practices, and apply them to improve overall software quality.
Utilize and enhance existing automation frameworks, platforms, and design patterns to reduce delivery lead time.
Ensure quality is embedded across the entire CI/CD pipeline.
Provide effective, actionable code review feedback to both Development and QA team members.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage for all features.
Promote high‑quality releases by leveraging expertise within the team and across the organization.
Perform manual verification and validation of new features, enhancements, and defect fixes as needed.
Design, develop, and maintain test cases and test automation strategies.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, estimation, and backlog grooming.
Support product releases and assist with third‑level (Tier 3) production support.
Champion a strong quality mindset throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of hands‑on experience in software automation testing or software development.
Strong expertise in UI and API test automation using Playwright with C#.
Hands‑on experience with BDD‑based automation frameworks (e.g., SpecFlow) for both UI and API testing.
Proven experience authoring and maintaining API and end‑to‑end (E2E) automated test suites.
Experience testing complex, distributed, cloud‑based solutions.
Demonstrated ability to execute test automation at scale in fast‑paced delivery environments.
Strong experience working with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to ensure continuous quality.
Exposure to AI‑assisted coding tools, such as GitHub Copilot, to improve productivity and code quality.
Hands‑on experience contributing to or enhancing in‑house automation frameworks, tools, and utilities.
Proficiency in C# or another object‑oriented programming language.
Experience with performance and scalability testing.
JMeter scripting and test execution experience for load, stress, or performance testing. #LI-AD2
