Job summary

McFadyen Digital is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to join our ecommerce-focused team. You will design and execute tests across marketplaces, shopping carts, checkout and related integrations, ensuring quality in every release.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in QA within Agile environments, hands-on automation with Playwright/Selenium, API testing with Postman, and performance testing with JMeter. You will collaborate with developers, support SIT/UAT, and mentor junior testers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of QA experience in an Agile environment (manual + automation).
• Strong SDLC and Agile/Scrum understanding.
• Proficient in defect lifecycle management and root-cause analysis.
• Hands-on with Playwright and Selenium; API testing with Postman; performance testing with JMeter.
• Mandatory e-commerce domain experience testing marketplaces, carts, checkout, orders, promos, and customer accounts.

We are looking for a Senior QA Analyst to work with our amazing team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reviews and in-depth analysis of requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability.
• Design, document, and prioritize detailed test scenarios that align with Acceptance Criteria and business objectives.
• Perform testing for in-sprint stories/features, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Perform exploratory and regression tests for each story and release, ensuring coverage and minimizing risks.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to test complex scenarios and mentor junior QA members to ensure testing excellence.

Other Responsibilities

• E-commerce domain experience is mandatory, with hands-on experience testing e-commerce websites, marketplaces, shopping carts, checkout, payments, orders, promotions, customer accounts, product catalogs, and related integrations.
• Identify and report bugs with detailed steps to reproduce and supporting evidence for accurate defect tracking.
• Triage and prioritize in-sprint bugs, ensuring critical issues are addressed promptly to minimize impact on the sprint.
• Provide detailed test reports and insights on software quality to stakeholders after each test cycle.
• Conduct regression testing for major releases and ensure no critical defects are missed.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive Test Status Reports, providing visibility into test progress and quality metrics.
• Collaborate with clients and third-party testing teams to support sprint delivery, assist them in SIT/UAT phases, and perform regression testing for each Release Candidate.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Selenium.
• Identify opportunities to improve test automation coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.
• Use Claude and other Generative AI/AI-assisted tools to improve QA productivity, including test scenario generation, test case creation, test data generation, automation script development, defect analysis, and test documentation.
• Stay updated with emerging QA tools, AI technologies, trends, and techniques to improve testing practices.

• Proficient in using JIRA or similar for issue tracking and test management.
• Strong ability to write, maintain, and execute test cases and test scripts.
• Experience working on API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright automation frameworks and maintaining reusable automation scripts.
• Experience using Claude and other Generative AI/AI-assisted tools for test case generation, test automation, test data creation, defect analysis, documentation, and improving QA productivity.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent collaboration skills, working effectively with both QA and development teams.
• Take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good understanding of accessibility and usability testing standards.
