Job summary

Tekskills India is seeking a skilled Python backend developer to design, implement, and maintain scalable services using Django/Flask/FastAPI. You will build RESTful and asynchronous APIs, design microservices, and work with SQL/NoSQL databases and message queues across cloud environments.

The role emphasizes performance optimization, secure coding, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Hybrid work mode is available, with immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python backend development with Django/Flask/FastAPI.
• Experience building RESTful and async APIs.
• Experience with microservices and data handling (SQL/NoSQL).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong CI/CD practices and version control (Git).
• Awareness of security, testing, and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications and backend services.

• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, queues, and data pipelines; implement ETL workflows.
• Improve performance, memory usage, and code efficiency; profile and fix bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Write tests (pytest/unittest), support QA/UAT and production deployments.
• Ensure secure coding practices and proper authentication/authorization.
• Document APIs, architecture, and release notes for developers and stakeholders.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Application & Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications, services, and backend components using frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• API & Microservices Engineering: Build RESTful and asynchronous APIs, design microservices architectures, and integrate with internal/external systems and databases.
• Data Handling & Processing: Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, message queues, and data pipelines; implement ETL workflows and ensure high data quality.
• Performance & Optimization: Optimize application performance, memory usage, and execution speed; profile code and resolve bottlenecks.
• Cloud & DevOps Integration: Deploy and operate applications on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), integrating CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Testing & Debugging: Write robust unit/integration tests (pytest/unittest), debug complex issues, and support QA/UAT and production deployments.
• Collaboration: Partner with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Security & Compliance: Implement secure coding practices, handle authentication/authorization, and ensure application compliance with standards.
• Lifecycle Management: Manage versioning, releases, observability, and maintain applications throughout their lifecycle.
• Documentation: Produce clear technical documentation, API references, and user guides for developers and stakeholders.
