Job summary

Solytics Partners in Pune specializes in analytics and risk tech. We are seeking a Python Django Backend Developer to build scalable backend services, REST APIs, and data-driven platforms, using modern frameworks and microservices.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OOP, multithreading, and software design patterns, and can own the full SDLC from requirements through deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of Python and Django/FastAPI concepts.
• Experience with RESTful services and database design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python, Django/Flask and SQL.
• Develop and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Own the complete development lifecycle from requirement analysis to deployment and support.
• Perform RCA, troubleshoot production issues, and implement fixes.
• Optimize performance, queries, and backend services for scalability and reliability.
• Identify risks and communicate them to the Project Manager and stakeholders.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and participate in ceremonies.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Python Django Backend Developer with strong experience in backend development, RESTful APIs, database systems, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, OOPs, software design patterns, multithreading, and concurrency.

The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend solutions, designing RESTful services, working closely with stakeholders, and taking ownership of the complete software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python, Django/Flask, and SQL.
• Develop and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices-based applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Take ownership of the complete development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, code review, unit testing, debugging, deployment, UAT support, and production support.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), troubleshoot production issues, and implement effective defect fixes.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and backend services for scalability and reliability.
• Identify potential technical risks and dependencies and communicate them proactively to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Django; Flask experience is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, OOPs, Collections, Multithreading, and Concurrency.
• Good understanding of Functional Programming concepts and Software Engineering Design Patterns.
• Strong experience in developing RESTful APIs and web services.
• Good understanding of Microservices Architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, DBMS, database design, and query optimization.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB; exposure to Elasticsearch is an advantage.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and Unix/Linux environments.
• Working knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
