Job summary

TVS Next in Chennai is seeking an experienced Python Automation QA to join our team. You will participate in Agile Scrum, build and maintain test automation frameworks, and drive API, Selenium, and CI/CD automation across projects.

You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure quality from the start, design test strategies, and own execution, reporting, and integration of automated tests in the release pipeline. Experience with Python, Pytest, SQL, and Git is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing experience in a QA automation or QA engineering role.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and regression testing.
• Hands-on experience with API automation, Selenium, Python, Pytest, etc.
• Experience with version controls and repositories (Git/CircleCI).
• Experience integrating automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Job description

Were looking for an experienced Python Automation QA to join our team in Chennai.

What youll be doing:

• Participate in the Agile (Scrum) team process, perform required standard testing activities keeping the customer experience top of mind during the testing process.
• Build new test automation frameworks and configure test environments
• Automate test scripts and test cases utilizing existing automation testing framework
• Debug and run automation test suites for areas that include SEO testing, regression testing, end-to-end, DB, and API testing, performance and email testing
• Collaborate with Engineering teams and Product Managers to build quality into product from the beginning, and communicate and assist developers on issue resolution
• Own the execution, reporting and integration into CI/CD of automated tests
• Advocate for testable and functional software designs to enable quality design principles
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to drive innovation and ensure highest product quality

What you seek in you:

• 5+ years of software testing experience in a QA automation or QA engineering role required
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and regression testing required
• 5+ years hands-on experience with API Automation, Selenium, Python, Pytest, etc.
• Experience with version controls and repositories (Git/CircleCI)
• Experience with integration of automated tests with CI/CD pipeline within release management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience creating testing frameworks from scratch
• Experience in SQL is a plus
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent time management and attention to detail
