Job summary

Egis Road Operation India is seeking a seasoned engineer to lead and deliver large water infrastructure projects, overseeing strategy, design, and execution from pre‑bid to post‑bid stages.

You will build long‑term client relationships, coordinate with government authorities, manage complex budgets and pricing strategies, negotiate risks, mentor a high‑performing team, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of tender and operating projects.

Qualifications

  • Graduated in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Master’s Degree in Environment/Water Resources or related field.
  • Experience leading complex projects in water/urban infrastructure.
  • Experience coordinating with major clients and government authorities.

  • Lead and develop complex water infrastructure projects from conception through delivery.
  • Build and maintain long‑term client relationships for repeat engagements.
  • Oversee budgets, pricing strategies and risk management for projects.
  • Coordinate with government authorities and major clients to ensure compliance and approvals.

About The Role
  • Create and implement best practice in the Water department, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
  • Ensure that strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets, enabling the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
  • Client relationship management and establish long‑term relationships for repeat engagements.
  • Provide leadership to the department, coach, mentor and develop direct reports, and manage a high‑performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
  • Provide optimum design solutions, technology selection, identification and mitigation of risk during pre‑bid and post‑bid stages.
  • Review and finalize schedules to meet contractual requirements.
  • Monitor progress and design quantity regularly.
  • Obtain timely approvals of deliverables from customer/client consultants for timely completion of projects.
  • Interact and understand customers’ needs and expectations to enable effective delivery of quality services.
  • Respond to all customer enquiries promptly and positively.
  • Optimize resources and manage time to handle various jobs (tenders & operating jobs) running concurrently to meet the timeline for submission of deliverables as required.
  • Control costs by constantly monitoring actual quantities during post‑bid engineering to ensure they do not exceed tender quantities.
What do we need from you
  • Graduated in a relevant engineering discipline and hold a Master’s Degree in Environment/Water Resources or a related field.
Experience
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing complex projects.
  • 12‑15 years of experience in sectors such as water, wastewater, solid waste management, public health engineering, irrigation, and/or urban infrastructure.
  • A proven track record of working on complex, large‑scale infrastructure projects.
  • Experience coordinating with major clients and government authorities.
  • Experience developing and managing complex budgets and pricing strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage risk.
