Qualifications

Senior Project Manager - Edible Oil Refinery Commissioning (Qatar)

We are hiring a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the overall execution and commissioning of an Edible Oil Refinery Project in Qatar.

This is a senior-level role responsible for managing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with the Client/PMC, and ensuring successful completion of the Testing & Commissioning (T&C) and Integrated Performance Testing (IPT) phases.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in managing refinery, edible oil, or process plant projects, with strong technical knowledge and leadership skills to deliver the project within scope, schedule, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the execution, commissioning, and handover of the edible oil refinery project in Qatar.
• Serve as the primary interface with the Client/PMC, ensuring transparent communication and alignment on schedules and deliverables.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
• Supervise functional leads—technical, documentation, QA/QC, and HSE—ensuring cohesive team coordination.
• Approve and review commissioning plans, IPT protocols, and project documentation.
• Monitor progress against project milestones and identify potential risks or bottlenecks.
• Drive performance, compliance, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Support vendor coordination, inspection, and system integration during commissioning.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and the client.

Requirements

• Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 15+ years in project execution and commissioning for refinery, edible oil, process, or FMCG plants.
• Proven experience in EPC/PMC project management and commissioning supervision.
• Strong understanding of refinery operations, utilities, automation systems, and process interlocks.
• Excellent leadership, planning, risk management, and client communication skills.
• Familiarity with QA/QC systems, PTMS/IPT documentation, and performance testing processes.
• Prior GCC/Qatar project experience preferred.
• Duration: 6-12 months (extendable)
