Job Description — Senior Project Manager — Banking (IBM Integration Projects)

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with 15 years of experience in delivering complex projects within the Banking domain. The ideal candidate must have strong experience managing IBM Integration projects, with hands-on exposure to IBM App Connect, while leading multiple projects, driving project governance, coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors, and delivering executive-level reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple banking projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and quality.


• Manage end-to-end IBM Integration projects, ensuring seamless integration across enterprise applications and banking systems.


• Work closely with technical teams on IBM App Connect implementation, integration planning, deployment, and issue resolution.


• Define project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation to ensure effective project execution.


• Establish and drive project governance, including project reviews, risk management, issue tracking, and executive reporting.


• Coordinate with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and third-party partners to ensure successful project delivery.


• Monitor project milestones, dependencies, risks, and escalations, taking proactive actions to ensure timely delivery.


• Prepare and present project dashboards, MIS reports, executive summaries, and Steering Committee presentations.


• Ensure effective communication with senior leadership through accurate and timely project reporting.


• Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, organizational standards, and quality processes.


• Maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle and drive continuous process improvements.

Required Skills:

• 15 years of Project Management experience, with significant experience in the Banking domain.


• Mandatory experience managing IBM Integration projects.


• Mandatory hands-on experience working with IBM App Connect (IBM App Connect Enterprise/ACE).


• Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.


• Strong expertise in project governance, stakeholder management, and executive reporting.


• Experience in milestone planning, project scheduling, vendor management, and dependency tracking.


• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for dashboards, reporting, and executive presentations.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM MQ, API integrations, or enterprise integration platforms is an added advantage.


• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent Project Management certification.
