Job summary

World Wide Technology in India is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple large, multi-stream engagements. You will create in-depth WBS with dependencies and a defined critical path, and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

You will monitor progress, manage resources and budgets, use PM tools to drive efficiencies, and lead risk and change control.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in project management within Professional Services or Managed Services.
• External customer facing project leadership experience essential.
• Experience with Global Financial customers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple large, complex projects with multiple work streams.
• Create in-depth WBS with interdependencies and defined critical path.
• Develop and execute communication strategies for all management levels.
• Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders.
• Build relationships with customers and stakeholders (internal and external).
• Create and maintain resource plans ensuring effective allocation across projects.
• Utilize PM tools and techniques to improve execution and drive efficiencies.
• Implement engagement reviews and QA procedures per methodology.
• Ensure profitable and successful execution of engagements as per regional goals and feedback.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope and risk management plans.
• Analyze profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization across projects.
• Understand financial components to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Deliver high-quality, timely deliverables across projects.

• 6+ years of experience as a Project Manager
• Experience in a Professional Services or Managed Services environment is required (***critical: must have led external customer facing projects not internal operational projects)
• Preferred to have experience supporting Global Financial customers
• Networking, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud, Security or Collaboration (Unified Communications) Project Management experience required
• Multisite deployment experience (Wireless, Wi-Fi, POS, etc.)
• Knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of project management
• PMP and/or CAPM certification is desired
• Understanding of financial processes; ability to understand, analyze and create financial reports preferably in Clarity
• Extensive experience with people management, strategic planning, and change management
• Proven experience with risk management; demonstrated ability to communicate appropriately to leadership
• Understanding of and the ability to utilize the process of stakeholder analysis
• Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers
• Experience in effectively influencing and leading personnel and the ability to write business reports in a well-organized manner
• Strong team building skills
• Excellent problem solving, and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
• Proficiency with project management software (Desired)
