Qualifications

• 10+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience.
• 3+ years leading development of applications backed by AWS services or other cloud technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS compute, storage, networking, security, databases, ML, and serverless.
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
• Experience presenting technical solutions to diverse audiences in pre-sales environments.
• Experience in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis).

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services (ProServe) is looking for an experienced Senior Professional Services Cloud Architect to join our India team. As a key member of the strategic account team, you will lead technical sales engagements, shape solution architecture, and influence revenue throughout the sales cycle for some of the largest enterprises in Financial Services, Automotive and Manufacturing, and Retail.

You will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers accelerate their cloud adoption — from migration and modernization to cloud‑native applications and emerging technologies such as generative AI and agentic AI. You will create and lead the solution design that delivers each customer’s business outcomes. Working as the link between ProServe Account Executives (PAEs) and our Delivery teams, you will make sure proposed solutions are realistic, achievable, and make the best use of ProServe and our partners. We are expanding our teams targeting Financial Services, Automotive and Manufacturing, and Retail industry segments in India, and this is a compelling time to join and help shape how these customers build on AWS.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead cloud solution design during pre‑sales engagements: run demonstrations, conduct initial scoping, and architect scalable, secure AWS solutions across Financial Services, Automotive and Manufacturing, and Retail enterprises.
• Design complex AWS solutions, estimates, and proposals that deliver customer business outcomes, defining project scope and technical approaches for Statements of Work using ProServe offerings and delivery kits.
• Lead technical discovery workshops, architecture design sessions, and proof‑of‑concept implementations while advising C‑suite and senior technical stakeholders on cloud modernization, generative AI, and agentic AI strategies.
• Ensure smooth hand‑offs to Delivery teams so that scope, architecture, and expected outcomes are fully understood at launch, and lead delivery of complex engagements as needed, including migrations, data and analytics, and application development.
• Share knowledge across the organization through mentoring, reusable artifacts, and contributions to ProServe best practices, and represent AWS ProServe at customer events and industry conferences across India.

A day in the life

You might start your morning reviewing architecture designs for a customer’s cloud migration, then join a working session with their engineering team to refine a data warehousing solution. After lunch, you could lead a stakeholder review presenting progress and recommendations to senior executives. Later, you collaborate with partners and internal teams to scope a new engagement, before wrapping up by documenting reusable patterns from a recently completed project to share across the organization.

Our ProServe team in {ADDRESS} works with some of the country’s largest Financial Services, Automotive and Manufacturing, and Retail enterprises to help them realize their cloud ambitions on AWS. You will partner closely with PAEs who own the customer relationship, Delivery teams including Engagement Managers and Delivery Consultants, AWS account teams and Solutions Architects, AWS Specialists including the Generative AI Innovation Center, and AWS Partner Network (APN) partners. Together, this ecosystem turns architectures into measurable customer outcomes.

As an industry subject matter expert, you will help define cloud operating models, drive strategic enterprise transformation, and set up Cloud Centers of Excellence. Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
• 3+ years of leading development of applications backed by AWS services or using other cloud based technologies and services experience
• Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud
• Experience presenting technical solutions to diverse audiences in pre‑sales environments
• Experience in database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis)
• Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre‑sales environments

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification, or Associate’s degree or above
• Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
• Experience managing executive customer relationships and key business stakeholders
• Experience with broad enterprise systems work including SAP, Oracle, and custom applications
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (like TOGAF, Zachman) and identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications and global infrastructure assets
• Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams including Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Senior Leadership
• Familiarity with the Indian market, digital transformation initiatives (for example Digital India and government cloud policies) and regional compliance requirements (for example RBI, SEBI and IRDAI guidelines, and the DPDP Act)
• Experience designing generative AI, machine learning and data analytics solutions
• Experience with large‑scale migration programs (1,000+ servers) using AWS migration tools and methods
• Software development experience in an object‑oriented language
