Job summary

MobiKwik is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own end-to-end product charters in the offline merchant payments stack. You will drive merchant onboarding, app roadmaps for merchant and agent apps, and oversee KYC, settlements, and device experiences.

You will collaborate with engineering, design, operations, risk, and compliance to ship features that improve activation, transactions, and retention across QR, Soundbox, and EDC devices.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of product management experience in fintech/payments or B2B2C platforms.
• Hands-on with merchant onboarding/KYC, payments/settlements, or PoS/IoT device products.
• Strong analytical skills with SQL and product analytics tools.
• Experience writing PRDs and running sprint cycles with engineering.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with business and ops teams.
• Knowledge of offline payments ecosystem: QR, Soundbox, EDC/PoS, UPI, card networks.

About the Role

As SPM, you will own end-to-end product charters within the offline merchant payments stack - driving execution across merchant acquiring, the merchant app, agent app, KYC journeys, payouts & settlements, and Soundbox/EDC device experience. You will work closely with engineering, design, business/sales, operations, risk, and compliance to ship features that improve merchant activation, transacting behavior, and retention.

Key Responsibilities

• Offline merchant acquiring - onboarding, activation, and lifecycle management of merchants accepting payments via QR, soundbox, and EDC (card machine) devices
• Merchant app - product roadmap for the merchant-facing app used for transaction tracking, settlement visibility, device management, and support
• Agent app - product for the field/feet-on-street (FOS) sales and service agent app used for merchant onboarding, device deployment, and servicing
• Payments, payouts & settlements - merchant payout cycles, settlement reconciliation, nodal account flows, and dispute/chargeback handling
• KYC & compliance - merchant KYC/KYB journeys, RBI/PA-PG and PPI compliance touchpoints, re-KYC, and risk/fraud checks in the onboarding funnel
• Devices - soundbox (audio payment confirmation device) and EDC (card swipe/PoS machine) product lifecycle: procurement coordination, activation, connectivity (SIM/network), firmware, and after-sales service
• Cross-functional ops & business - working with sales/BD, operations, risk, compliance, and device vendor teams to hit acquisition, activation, and retention targets
• Own the product roadmap for one or more of: merchant app, agent app, KYC/onboarding funnel, payouts & settlements, or device (Soundbox/EDC) experience
• Translate business and sales inputs into clear PRDs, user stories, and prioritized sprints; work daily with engineering and design to ship on time
• Track and improve funnel metrics - merchant onboarding TAT, KYC drop-offs, device activation rate, transacting merchant %, settlement TAT/accuracy, and app NPS/ratings
• Partner with Ops and vendor/device teams to resolve merchant servicing issues (device faults, connectivity, replacements) and reduce turnaround time
• Work with Compliance and Risk on KYC/KYB rule changes, RBI guidelines, and fraud/risk controls in onboarding and settlement flows
• Run structured A/B tests and data-driven iterations on the merchant and agent apps
• Create dashboards and reporting for leadership on acquisition, activation, retention, and settlement health

Requirements

• 4-6 years of product management experience, with meaningful exposure to fintech/payments, merchant acquiring, lending, or B2B2C platforms
• Hands-on experience with at least one of: merchant onboarding/KYC, payments/settlements, or device-led (PoS/IoT) product
• Strong analytical skills - comfortable with SQL and product analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Clevertap, Amplitude)
• Experience writing PRDs, running sprint cycles with engineering, and working cross-functionally with business and ops teams
• Understanding of the offline payments ecosystem - QR, Soundbox, EDC/PoS, UPI, card networks - is a strong plus
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working with field/on-ground business and ops stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology required; MBA is a plus but not mandatory
