WHO YOU ARE:
The Senior Product Manager leads the Product Life Cycle and strongly contributes to the research development activities related to the design and development of our products and qualification or re-qualification of new and existing products. The individual will work with Zinnia's Product Organization to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategy and vision.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead and contribute to the execution of product lifecycle processes for financial products, working with cross-functional teams to ensure fulfillment of product requirements, evaluating product performance and transitioning products from development to commercialization.
- Lead technical discussions with Engineering teams and thoroughly manage technical/business requirements.
- Assist in determining product delivery and deployment dates for new product releases, feature and maintenance releases, and regular corrective service or service pack releases.
- Act as a technical consultant to the product organization and lead research and prototyping of innovative technologies and products.
- Ensure the technology and architectural roadmap of engineering is properly aligned with and supports the product/business roadmap.
- Mentor junior team members and guide them through any challenges.
- Act as a customer liaison on technical issues related to product integration, custom development, and requirements.
- May lead major releases and ensure feature enhancements respond to customer requests.
- Responsible for product delivery managing schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 8-12 years of experience in Product Management, including analyzing software/product design, development, and deployment.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s or equivalent Degree in technology or related field.
- Strong background working as a Technical Functional Product Manager or Business Analyst/Product Analyst in an enterprise environment.
- Strong background understanding of financial products like Peoplesoft.
- Hands-on understanding of API Integration, SQL, Data Analysis, etc.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, technology system interfaces, data integration, networks, and operating systems.
- Performs work with a high degree of latitude; handles the most complex issues.
- Possesses expert knowledge of subject matter.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate groups.
- Ability to foster teamwork, build collaborative relationships, and showcase excellent work ethic.
- Possess strong communication skills, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
- Can lead individual assignments and deliver with strong expertise.
- Expert level experience in delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and the use of relevant tools.
- Ability to influence, lead, and work as part of a cross-functional, global team.
- Experience in the Life Annuity Industry is preferred, not mandatory.
