Senior Product Manager - Financial Application

WHO YOU ARE:

The Senior Product Manager leads the Product Life Cycle and strongly contributes to the research development activities related to the design and development of our products and qualification or re-qualification of new and existing products. The individual will work with Zinnia's Product Organization to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategy and vision.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

1. Lead and contribute to the execution of product lifecycle processes for financial products, working with cross-functional teams to ensure fulfillment of product requirements, evaluating product performance and transitioning products from development to commercialization.
2. Lead technical discussions with Engineering teams and thoroughly manage technical/business requirements.
3. Assist in determining product delivery and deployment dates for new product releases, feature and maintenance releases, and regular corrective service or service pack releases.
4. Act as a technical consultant to the product organization and lead research and prototyping of innovative technologies and products.
5. Ensure the technology and architectural roadmap of engineering is properly aligned with and supports the product/business roadmap.
6. Mentor junior team members and guide them through any challenges.
7. Act as a customer liaison on technical issues related to product integration, custom development, and requirements.
8. May lead major releases and ensure feature enhancements respond to customer requests.
9. Responsible for product delivery managing schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

1. 8-12 years of experience in Product Management, including analyzing software/product design, development, and deployment.
2. Bachelor’s/Master’s or equivalent Degree in technology or related field.
3. Strong background working as a Technical Functional Product Manager or Business Analyst/Product Analyst in an enterprise environment.
4. Strong background understanding of financial products like Peoplesoft.
5. Hands-on understanding of API Integration, SQL, Data Analysis, etc.
6. Strong understanding of SDLC, technology system interfaces, data integration, networks, and operating systems.
7. Performs work with a high degree of latitude; handles the most complex issues.
8. Possesses expert knowledge of subject matter.
9. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate groups.
10. Ability to foster teamwork, build collaborative relationships, and showcase excellent work ethic.
11. Possess strong communication skills, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
12. Can lead individual assignments and deliver with strong expertise.
13. Expert level experience in delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and the use of relevant tools.
14. Ability to influence, lead, and work as part of a cross-functional, global team.
15. Experience in the Life Annuity Industry is preferred, not mandatory.
