Job summary

Tekion in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive AI and systems strategy across the service value chain for the dealership users who actually repair vehicles. You’ll own high‑visibility capabilities that cut manual steps and review time for BDC agents, technicians, and service advisors, so they can spend their time on the work that actually needs a human.

This role is built for someone who thinks like a systems architect even though you’re not writing the architecture yourself.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Product Management experience owning customer-facing SaaS products.
• 2+ years of hands-on AI/ML product management experience: building ML-powered features, working directly with data scientists or ML engineers, understanding the model lifecycle end to end.
• Strong systems design and product architecture skills. You can design a scalable, extensible technical solution and explain why it’s the right one.
• Experience leading distributed onshore and offshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI/ML-powered Service capabilities across Scheduling, Repair Order Management, Parts Operations, Technician Workflows, and Invoicing.
• Partner directly with ML/AI engineers to identify, prioritize, and productize AI use cases. You’re in the room for the model conversation, not briefed on it afterward
• Define the success metrics that matter: accuracy, adoption, time saved, workflow efficiency, and hold the roadmap to them
• Design solutions that scale across dealership sizes, service volumes, and regional requirements without falling apart at the edges
• Set the systems design and framework standards other PMs on the team build against
• Use data to decide what to build next, not gut feel dressed up as a roadmap

About The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to drive AI and systems strategy across the Service value chain, scheduling through invoicing, for the dealership users who actually repair vehicles. You’ll own high‑visibility capabilities that cut manual steps and review time for BDC agents, technicians, and service advisors, so they can spend their time on the work that actually needs a human.

This role is built for someone who thinks like a systems architect even though you’re not writing the architecture yourself. You’ve shipped AI/ML product before. You understand how integrations and backend systems actually behave under load, not just in theory. And you bring enough seniority to set the framework, not just fill in a roadmap someone else built. Our team, known internally as the JiraHunters, values precision, attention to detail, and a relentless focus on solving hard problems properly the first time.

What You’ll Do

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI/ML-powered Service capabilities across Scheduling, Repair Order Management, Parts Operations, Technician Workflows, and Invoicing
• Partner directly with ML/AI engineers to identify, prioritize, and productize AI use cases. You’re in the room for the model conversation, not briefed on it afterward

• Design solutions that scale across dealership sizes, service volumes, and regional requirements without falling apart at the edges

• Use data to decide what to build next, not gut feel dressed up as a roadmap

What You Bring

• 8+ years of Product Management experience owning customer-facing SaaS products
• 2+ years of hands‑on AI/ML product management experience: building ML‑powered features, working directly with data scientists or ML engineers, understanding the model lifecycle end to end. This is required, not preferred
• Strong systems design and product architecture skills. You can design a scalable, extensible technical solution and explain why it’s the right one. Non‑negotiable for this role
• Experience leading distributed onshore and offshore teams
• Strong business acumen and the judgment to prioritize ruthlessly when everything looks urgent
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to partner closely with ML/AI engineers, design, data science, and GTM

Good to Have

• Experience in automotive service or aftermarket, or with dealer/OEM service workflows
• Understanding of diagnostic workflows, scheduling systems, or parts catalog systems
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs, NLP, or recommendation systems
• Familiarity with responsible AI principles and model explainability
• Background in operations research, process optimization, or workflow automation
