Job summary

SanDisk in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Product Development Engineer (Embedded System Firmware and Python, C) with 5–8 years of experience to design and implement firmware and Python applications for SSD platforms.

You will develop embedded firmware for storage controllers, Python scripts for NAND memory workflows, review cross-functional requirements, and deliver reliable software on time with high quality.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in embedded systems or EE/EC.
• Excellent in Python and C programming.
• Experience with Ubuntu/Linux operating system.
• Experience with ARC/ARM microcontroller architecture and peripherals (PCIe/NVMe, CLOCK/TIMER/DMA/SPI/I2C/UART).
• Hands-on firmware design, development and validation with debugging skills.
• Experience in Python scripts/application development.
• Good to have experience/knowledge on NAND flash memory.
• Familiar with Git/Bitbucket/GitHub and tracking tools (JIRA).
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of embedded system firmware and Python applications for SSD platforms.

• Analyzing the requirements from cross functional team and come up with design.
• Develop custom peripheral drivers for storage controller-PCIe/NVMe/ Infra(Clock,DMA,Timer,I2C,MPC,IPC,IC etc)
• Design and develop new firmware on latest ASIC to meet the requirements
• Fix bugs in existing Firmware and Collaborate with cross functional teams in debugging issues.
• Understand controller and NAND specification and develop features based on the requirement.
• Able to work with geographically distributed team and ensure on time & quality delivery of committed deliverables.
• Individual must have the passion to learn new technology.

Job Description

Python applications and firmware development on storage controllers for NAND platforms to enable productization of storage devices.
