Job summary

Xometry, a Nasdaq-listed digital marketplace, seeks a Senior Designer to lead product design across key problems. As a founding Designer for India's PDT, you will shape design practices, translate complex flows into intuitive UX, and collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams.

Xometry is seeking a results-oriented Senior Designer to lead product design across key product and business problems. Designers are expected to move fluidly from concept to production by leveraging AI tools across research, design, and development workflows. This includes generating prototypes, validating ideas, and contributing to production-ready outputs using modern AI-assisted tooling. In addition, as a founding Designer for Xometry’s India PDT team, you will also help establish strong data practices, build cross-region trust and collaboration, and foster a culture of innovation and execution as the organization scales.

How You’ll Contribute:

Product Design & User Experience

• Translate complex workflows and user needs into simple, intuitive design solutions
• Use research, data, and customer insights to inform and validate design decisions

Cross-Functional Product Development

• Partner closely with Business, Product and Engineering from problem definition through launch
• Communicate design rationale clearly and use feedback, research, and data to iterate on solutions

AI-Driven Design & Development

• Translate designs into production-ready outputs using tools such as Cursor, Claude, and other AI-enabled environments
• Partner closely with Engineering, contributing code-adjacent artifacts and prototypes to accelerate development
• Identify and scale new AI-enabled design workflows that improve speed and quality across Xometry

Found and Scale Xometry’s India Product Development Center

• Serve as a Founding Product Designer, establishing strong product design practices

What You’ll Bring to Xometry:

• 5+ years of product design experience working on digital products
• A strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX, interaction design, and visual design
• Solid skills in one or more of the following AI design tools (e.g. Figma, Bolt, UX Pilot, Pencil, and modern design systems) and Development/workflow environments (e.g. Make, Cursor, Claude,Github)
• Ability to clearly explain design decisions and incorporate feedback
• Comfort working within defined product direction and constraints
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in design, research, or development workflows
• Experience moving from design artifacts (Figma, flows, mocks) to functional prototypes or code using AI-assisted tools
• Comfort working in ambiguous, evolving workflows where AI is part of the execution layer
• Ability to evaluate when to use AI vs. traditional approaches

Must Haves

• Examples of AI-assisted workflows in portfolio (e.g., AI-generated prototypes, prompt-driven design systems, AI-supported research synthesis)
• Experience with complex workflows, marketplaces, or B2B products
• Familiarity with design systems and component-based design
• Exposure to user research or data-informed design

What Will Set You Up for Success

• You’re comfortable delivering the right artifacts at the right time using modern, AI-enabled tooling, from translating Figma designs into functional prototypes or production-ready code, to leveraging tools like Cursor, Claude, or similar systems to accelerate design and development workflows.
• Bias toward action and deliverability using AI to reduce cycle time and increase output quality
• Proactive in identifying where AI can replace manual effort or de-risk decisions early
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
  Willingness to ask questions when the context is unclear
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines with guidance from a Design Lead
• Openness to learning, feedback, and continuous improvement
