Job Description: Senior Process Manager – Oil & Gas EPC Projects

Position Title: Senior Process Manager - Oil & Gas EPC Projects

Location: Noida, India

Reports To: Vice President

Salary Range: ₹25 – 30 LPA

Experience: 10+ Years

Role Overview

The Senior Process Manager will lead the design, engineering of process vessels/skids for EPC projects and skid packages within the Oil & Gas sector. With more than 10 years of proven expertise, the role demands strong technical knowledge of process equipment and modular skid packages, coupled with commercial acumen to manage pre-bid and post-bid activities. The incumbent will play a critical role in winning projects by developing competitive, compliant, and technically sound proposals.

Key Responsibilities
Process & Engineering Expertise
  • Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID).
  • Carry out line sizing, hydraulic and pressure drop calculations, PSV sizing, and simulation studies.
  • Design and size static and rotating equipment, including separators, heat exchangers, pumps, water bath heaters, heater treaters, vessels, and gas conditioning skids.
  • Prepare Basic Engineering Packages (BEP) including design basis, equipment sizing, P&IDs, and PFDs.
  • Pre-bid and post-bid activities for EPC projects, modular skid packages, and process systems.
  • Develop technical data sheets, calculations required for proposal submission.
Project & Commissioning Support
  • Participate in HAZOP and SIL studies as per design requirements.
  • Attend bid clarification meetings, vendor discussions, and client negotiations.
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, SAT, PGTR, and handover documentation.
  • Coordinate with site teams for the erection and commissioning of process equipment.
Business & Strategy
  • Collaborate with marketing teams for Bid Evaluation Criteria (BEC) preparation.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Present solutions and proposals to senior decision-makers and clients.
  • Support business development by providing technical expertise in client meetings.
Key Skills & Competencies

Strong expertise in Proposal Engineering, EPC Projects, and Modular Process Skids.

Deep knowledge of Oil & Gas process equipment and packages, including:

  • Indirect Water Bath Heaters, 2/3 Phase Separators, Knock Out Drums, Slug Catchers, Hot Oil/Thermic Fluid Heater Packages, Gas Conditioning Skids, Pumps, and ETP systems.
  • Knowledge to process software like HYSYS etc
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost estimation, vendor negotiations, and contract finalization.
  • Skilled in simulation, costing, BOQ preparation, and technical offer writing.
  • Effective communicator with ability to build networks and foster client relationships.
  • Leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams, streamline workflows, and enhance productivity.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of proven experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects and skid packages.
  • Hands-on expertise in proposal engineering, process design, and vendor management.
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (API, TEMA, ASME, Shell DEPs).

  • Effective and Timely preparation of process design.
  • Cost optimization through effective design and process engineering.
  • Client satisfaction and repeat business generation.
  • Efficient coordination with engineering, procurement, and execution teams.
