Job summary

Cognet HRO in Tamil Nadu, India, seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage US GAAP-based financial processes including AP/AR, journal entries, and reconciliations. The role requires strong attention to detail and teamwork in a night-shift environment.

The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of US finance/accounting experience, with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting/finance and CPA or similar certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
• Handle AP and AR activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct GL reconciliations.
• Assist in financial reporting and month-end close.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards.
• Support accounting processes related to US taxation (knowledge preferred).
• Handle email communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records with attention to detail.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet deadlines.

Prepare and post Journal Entries accurately and timely.

Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities.

Perform Bank Reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

Conduct General Ledger (GL) Reconciliations .

Assist in financial reporting and month-end close activities.

Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards.

Support accounting processes related to US taxation (knowledge preferred but not mandatory).

Handle email communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Maintain accurate records with strong attention to detail .

Experience Level
