Job summary

QAD in Pune is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive end-to-end solutions for our enterprise SaaS platform. You will design, implement, and lead features across frontend and backend while mentoring teammates and shaping technical direction.

Applicants should have 12+ years of software development experience, strong data structures and OOP fundamentals, and expertise in web technologies, RESTful APIs, microservices, and databases. This on-site role requires 3–4 days in the Pune office.

The Mission: What Youll Be Building

You will be a core contributor in the design, development, and implementation of new models and procedures. You will provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members, and leverage in-depth professional knowledge to develop solutions in cloud-native architectures, microservices, and Agile product development. You will be instrumental in building the next generation of our platform, which features core pillars like:

Your Impact/ What you will be doing:

• Independent Design Implementation: Independently design, implement, and lead the development and testing of scalable web application features. Take end-to-end ownership of critical components across modern frontend frameworks and robust backend services.
• Complex Problem Resolution: Provide solutions to complex issues in creative and effective ways. Proactively debug, diagnose, and resolve a wide range of complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks across the stack with limited guidance. Understand the interrelationships of different disciplines and apply this knowledge to system design.
• Technical Guidance Mentorship: Serve as a subject matter expert to mentor junior engineers, lead complex cross-team code reviews, and help set quality and performance standards. Adapt style to differing audiences and often advise others on difficult matters.
• Code for Scale Efficiency: Optimize existing code and system architecture for performance, scalability, and maintainability, translating complex product and technical requirements into clean, efficient, and working code.

Core Technical Foundations / What we are looking for

• Mastery in Data Structures Algorithms: A strong foundation, including a clear understanding of time and space complexity.
• OOP Fundamentals: A solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming concepts is essential.
• Web Basics: Foundational knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and backend programming (Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or Python).
• Architectural Awareness: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and end-to-end application communication, as well as an awareness of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git.
