Job summary

AspenTech is seeking a technical leader to join the Inmation team, building the next generation of industrial data and automation platforms. You will guide a talented team of engineers while shaping architecture, design, and development of high-performance distributed systems.

The role focuses on C++ backend services, cloud-native technologies, edge to cloud data flow, and collaboration with product owners to deliver scalable solutions for industrial IoT.

The Role

Join the AspenTech Inmation team and help build the next generation of industrial data and automation platforms. You'll work on the Enterprise Operations Platform, developing high-performance distributed systems that connect industrial devices, move massive amounts of data, and make that data accessible from the edge to the cloud. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role where you'll guide a talented team of engineers while actively contributing to architecture, design, and development. What You’ll Need

• Strong professional experience with modern C++
• Deep understanding of: o Data structures and algorithms o Concurrent and multithreaded programming o Operating system fundamentals o Software architecture and system design
• Familiarity with networking, databases, servers, APIs, and security concepts
• Experience with scripting languages (Lua, Python, or similar) is a plus
• Exposure to container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of CI/CD and modern software development practices
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• Comfortable working in Agile development environments
