Responsibilities
- Work on power electronics and variable speed drive/VFDs (AC 1‑Phase & 3‑Phase inverter drives) products as part of the global power electronics team, with minimal supervision.
- Hands‑on experience with MOSFET, IGBT, IPM and SMPS (AC‑DC, DC‑DC) based circuits.
- Apply excellent hardware design skills and use simulation techniques to develop creative, analytical solutions.
- Support proof of concept, NPD and manufacturing; interact with EMS suppliers and work on DFM/DFT.
- Conduct EMC testing and compliance work, troubleshooting EMI/EMC problems in design.
- Design and implement EMC strategies to meet regulatory and industry standards (CISPR, IEC, FCC).
- Perform EMC measurements and analyses during product design to optimize performance.
- Develop and validate EMC test plans, including pre‑compliance and full compliance testing for radiated and conducted emissions, immunity, and susceptibility.
- Identify and mitigate EMC issues through root‑cause analysis, addressing noise, crosstalk and grounding problems.
- Collaborate with hardware, software and mechanical engineers to incorporate EMC best practices into system designs.
- Lead EMC testing in internal or external facilities, ensuring accurate, detailed test reports and documentation.
- Manage EMC documentation, including design guidelines, test reports, risk assessments and compliance certifications.
- Stay up to date with evolving EMC regulations, standards and testing methodologies, applying this knowledge to ongoing projects.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or a closely related field.
- Several years of hands‑on experience in EMC design, testing and compliance in electronic systems.
- Proficiency with EMC testing equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, anechoic chambers).
- Strong understanding of grounding, shielding and filtering techniques for EMC design.
- In‑depth knowledge of global EMC standards and regulations (CISPR, EN, IEC, FCC) and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Intercultural competence, assertiveness, proactivity and ability to work independently.
- Solid spoken and written English skills and effective communication of ideas in a professional environment.
