Job summary

Luxoft in Bengaluru is seeking a senior Murex developer to join a migration program for a European financial institution. You will work across the project lifecycle, focusing on PostgreSQL migration, Murex integration, and related upstream systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with PostgreSQL migration, PL/SQL to PL/pgSQL rewrites, and exposure to scheduling tools like EOD/CTRL-M or Autosys. Strong Unix/Linux skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a similar Murex/PostgreSQL migration role.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL migration experience.
• Oracle to PostgreSQL migration hands-on experience.
• Experience with EOD/CTRL-M or Autosys scheduling.

Responsibilities

• You will be a techno-functional Murex developer focusing on design for FRTB implementation with the wider team and Murex.
• Set up and run market risk-related processes involving Datamart and CTRL-M, including Datamart extractions and EOD processing.
• Performance-tuning PostgreSQL post-migration: diagnose query plan regressions using EXPLAIN, tune vacuum/autovacuum, configure WAL and shared buffers.
• Rewrite query logic from PL/SQL to PL/pgSQL and handle Murex nested database logic.

We\'ve been engaged by a large European financial institution to provide resources for their migration project.By joining this program, you will have the opportunity to work with an established client team and be fully involved from project initiation through implementation, not only for the PostgreSQL but also for upstream systems, including the managed market data service provider.

Responsibilities

• You will be a techno-functional Murex developer focusing on1. Working on FRTB implementation solution design together with the wider team and Murex.2. Set up and run market risk-related processes involving Datamart and CTRL-M. This includes setting up: Datamart extractions, EOD processing in CTRL-M.The bank has an advanced Murex implementation leveraging Murex CI/CD setup to fully automate releases and version control.3. Performance-tuning PostgreSQL post-migration: diagnose query plan regressions using EXPLAIN, tune vacuum/autovacuum, configure WAL and shared buffers.4. Rewriting query logic from PL/SQL to PL/pgSQL, database objects and Murex nested database logic.
