Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, is seeking a Senior Program Manager to oversee and coordinate multiple projects within a program, aligning with our strategic objectives, directing activities across functions, and managing resources, budgets and timelines.

You will develop global program plans for Asia region (including India, ASEAN, China, Japan), drive risk management, facilitate stakeholder communication, mentor project managers, and lead continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Program Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of project and program management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Experience in budget management and financial analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • 7-10 years of professional experience in program management.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, MSP) is highly desirable.

  • Identify and manage risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among project teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular program reviews and provide status updates to senior management.
  • Ensure that program outcomes meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead and mentor project managers and team members to achieve program objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the program.

The Job:

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple projects within a program to ensure they align with the organization's strategic objectives, directing the project activities of the various functions involved. Projects are defined and directed by the SEF Management team functional leads in line with business requirements. This role involves managing resources, budgets, and timelines, as well as ensuring effective communication among required stakeholders.

  • A recognized project or programme management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, MSP) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
