Job summary

Role Description

The Senior Plumbing Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing plumbing systems for building projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed design drawings and calculations, coordinating with architectural, structural, and MEP teams, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and designers. The role involves conducting site visits, resolving design issues, supporting project execution, and preparing technical reports and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Thane, requiring close collaboration with project stakeholders to meet timelines and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Plumbing and Plumbing Design, with experience in layout planning, sizing, and system optimization.
• Practical knowledge of Water Supply systems, including distribution networks, storage, and pressure management.
• Experience working within Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) frameworks and coordinating with other building services.
• Understanding of Building Services design principles, codes, and standards relevant to plumbing and related systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; a master's degree is an advantage.
• Several years of experience in plumbing design for commercial, residential, or industrial projects, preferably in an engineering consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP or similar), and familiarity with applicable national and international standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead project tasks and mentor junior team members.
• Effective communication and coordination skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and clients, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
