Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Science, or related discipline.
  • B.Ed. is preferred.
  • Master's Degree in Physics is preferred.
  • Minimum 25 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school.
  • Experience teaching Physics and Science to Classes V–IX.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Physics and General Science as per CBSE for Classes VI–X.
  • Deliver engaging, concept-based lessons with real-life applications.
  • Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, practical activities, and enrichment materials.
  • Foster inquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking.
  • Prepare students for Olympiads, NTSE, JEE, NEET, and other exams.
  • Conduct remedial and enrichment classes and ensure syllabus completion.
  • Design assessments and maintain records; provide timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Maintain safe, effective classroom management and inclusive education practices.
  • Integrate technology such as Smart Boards and digital resources into lessons.
  • Mentor students for scientific thinking and STEM projects.
  • Communicate with parents and participate in PTMs and academic discussions.
  • Support lab safety and proper maintenance of equipment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-focused Physics Teacher to teach Science with a specialization in Physics for Classes VI to X. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject expertise, excellent pedagogical skills, and the ability to inspire scientific curiosity and analytical thinking among students. The teacher will play a key role in building conceptual understanding, fostering scientific temperament, and preparing students for academic excellence and future STEM pursuits.

Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
  • Teach Physics concepts and General Science topics relevant to Classes VI to X as per CBSE curriculum requirements.
  • Deliver engaging, interactive, and concept-based lessons that connect scientific principles with real-life applications.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, practical activities, and enrichment materials.
  • Foster scientific inquiry, observation, experimentation, and critical thinking among students.
  • Introduce foundational concepts that support future preparation for Olympiads, NTSE, JEE, NEET, and other competitive examinations.
  • Conduct remedial and enrichment classes to address varying student learning needs.
  • Ensure timely completion of syllabus as per academic schedules and curriculum plans.
Laboratory & Practical Learning
  • Plan, organize, and supervise Physics and Science laboratory activities.
  • Demonstrate experiments and hands‑on activities to enhance conceptual understanding.
  • Ensure proper usage, maintenance, and safety of laboratory equipment and resources.
  • Encourage students to participate in scientific investigations, projects, exhibitions, and innovation‑based activities.
  • Promote experiential learning through demonstrations, models, and practical applications.
Assessment & Evaluation
  • Design and administer formative and summative assessments, unit tests, projects, practical evaluations, and examinations.
  • Prepare competency‑based and application‑oriented question papers in alignment with CBSE guidelines.
  • Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
  • Analyze assessment data to identify learning gaps and implement improvement strategies.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in academic reviews, result analysis meetings, and performance improvement initiatives.
Classroom Management
  • Create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Encourage active student participation, collaboration, and scientific discussions.
  • Maintain discipline and classroom decorum in accordance with school policies.
  • Support inclusive education practices and address diverse learning requirements.
Technology Integration
  • Utilize Smart Boards, simulations, virtual labs, multimedia presentations, and educational software to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Incorporate digital tools and online resources to make Physics concepts more engaging and accessible.
  • Support blended learning initiatives and digital assessment practices.
  • Use technology to track student progress and communicate academic updates.
Student Development
  • Mentor students in developing scientific thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and research skills.
  • Guide students in preparing for Science Olympiads, quizzes, exhibitions, and inter‑school competitions.
  • Encourage participation in STEM‑based projects, innovation challenges, and science fairs.
  • Conduct doubt‑clearing sessions and additional support classes as required.
  • Foster curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong interest in science.
Parent Communication
  • Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress and academic development.
  • Participate in Parent‑Teacher Meetings (PTMs), counseling sessions, and academic discussions.
  • Provide recommendations and support strategies to enhance student performance.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain attendance records, assessment reports, laboratory records, and academic documentation.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum planning sessions, workshops, and professional development programs.
  • Support school events, examinations, co‑curricular activities, and academic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of study materials, question banks, laboratory manuals, and teaching resources.
Required Qualifications
Educational Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Science, or a related discipline.
  • B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is preferred.
  • Master's Degree in Physics will be preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum 25 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school.
  • Experience teaching Science and Physics to Classes VIX.
  • Experience in Olympiad coaching, STEM education, or competitive exam foundation programs will be an added advantage.
