Job summary

RGBSI in Bangalore seeks a Senior PCB Design Engineer to lead high-quality multi-layer PCB layouts and electronic schematic drafting for the semiconductor equipment industry, ensuring electrical, mechanical, and thermal compliance through rigorous design reviews.

The role requires 5–10 years’ experience, proficiency with Cadence PCB Editor, OrCAD Capture, and Teamcenter PLM, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, select components, create BOMs, and manage engineering changes

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering required.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor equipment industry preferred.
• Cadence PCB Editor and OrCAD Capture with at least 3+ years of experience.
• Teamcenter PLM or similar product lifecycle tools proficiency.
• Strong stack-up, trace width, and IPC-2221 standards knowledge.
• Basic SI/PI understanding.

Responsibilities

• Design high-quality multi-layer PCB layouts meeting electrical, mechanical, and thermal standards.
• Draft precise electronic schematics and interpret system interconnects and cable drawings.
• Lead PCB design reviews through cross-functional collaboration.
• Assist with component selection and BOM creation.
• Document and release drawings using PLM (Engineering Change Management).
• Resolve design quality issues and supplier build challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Layouts: Create high-quality multi-layer PCBs meeting electrical, mechanical, and thermal standards.
• Draft Schematics: Draft precise electronic schematics and interpret system interconnects and cable drawings.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Gather requirements across teams and lead comprehensive PCB design reviews.
• Component Selection: Apply circuit theory knowledge to assist with electronic component selection and BOM creation.
• Lifecycle Management: Document and release engineering drawings using Engineering Change Management (PLM).
• Problem Solving: Resolve design quality issues, supplier build challenges, and problem reports.

Mandatory Requirements

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience (Semiconductor equipment industry preferred).
• Software Tools: Minimum 3+ years of experience with Cadence PCB Editor and OrCAD Capture.
• PLM Tools: Proficiency in Teamcenter PLM, or similar product lifecycle tools.
• Technical Skills: Strong grasp of stack-up preparation, trace width calculations, and IPC-2221 standards.
• SI/PI Knowledge: Basic understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) tools.
