Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced payroll professional to manage end-to-end monthly and fortnightly payroll processing across APAC and EMEA, including India-based operations in Bengaluru.

You will validate gross-to-net calculations, off-cycles, retros, and reconciliations; review reports and audit files; ensure statutory compliance; and partner with ADP Celergo and other providers to drive accuracy, SLAs, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of progressive payroll experience with multi-country exposure in EMEA
  • Strong command of payroll processing and statutory compliance across APAC and EMEA
  • Hands-on experience with ADP Celergo; ADP Vantage/ADP Streamline is a plus
  • Proficiency with Oracle HCM payroll integrations and data validation
  • Experience using a helpdesk/case tool such as ServiceNow for payroll tickets and SLAs
  • Understanding of GL mapping, payroll accounting, and bank/payment files
  • Advanced Excel, including lookups, pivots, and reconciliations
  • Strong data accuracy and numerical reasoning
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across time zones
  • Country-specific payroll expertise including India, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, UAE, Belgium, Switzerland
  • Knowledge of benefits in payroll, shadow payroll, and mobility/expat cases
  • Lean/Six Sigma mindset and continuous improvement track record
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to support cross-regional time zones during payroll cycles and critical cut-offs
  • Knowledge of payroll calculations, statutory filings/remittances, year-end reporting, GL and reconciliations, and interface validations
  • Knowledge of country payroll laws, social security, pensions/super, tax deadlines, and reporting formats
  • Experience with Oracle HCM, Workday, and helpdesk tools
  • Ownership, integrity, attention to detail, problem-solving, discretion with sensitive data, and collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Ensure statutory compliance with local tax, social security, pension, and benefits
  • Maintain controls, documentation, and audit readiness for internal and external audits
  • Coordinate year-end activities and ensure timely filings
  • Partner with ADP Celergo and other in-country providers on processing, SLAs, and issue resolution
  • Monitor vendor performance, conduct root-cause analyses, drive improvements
  • Validate and reconcile Oracle HCM inbound/outbound payroll interfaces
  • Manage payroll queries via helpdesk tools such as ServiceNow or Freshservice
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and support journal entries and month-end close
  • Support treasury with funding files, bank payments, net pay, and remittances
  • Maintain and enhance SOPs, process maps, and control checklists
  • Lead or participate in country transitions, M&A integrations, and new market entry projects
  • Track KPIs and improve quality, timeliness, and employee experience
  • Enable end-to-end payroll operations across EMEA for a diverse employee population

Job description

  • Manage end-to-end monthly and fortnightly payroll processing across multiple APAC and EMEA countries
  • Prepare, validate, and process gross-to-net calculations, off-cycles, retrospectives, and reconciliations
  • Review pre- and post-payroll reports, audit files, GL postings, and variance analyses
  • Ensure statutory compliance with local tax, social security, pension, and benefit-in-kind requirements
  • Maintain controls, documentation, and audit readiness for internal and external audits
  • Coordinate year-end activities and complete them on time to support employee filing returns
  • Partner with ADP Celergo and other in-country payroll providers on processing, SLAs, and issue resolution
  • Monitor vendor performance, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements
  • Validate and reconcile Oracle HCM inbound and outbound payroll interfaces
  • Manage payroll queries through helpdesk/case management tools such as ServiceNow or Freshservice
