Job summary

Infosys in Bengaluru seeks an Oracle PL/SQL Senior Developer to design, develop, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views. You will translate requirements into robust database components, tune SQL, and ensure data integrity while delivering features across environments.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, participate in code reviews, adhere to coding standards, and provide accurate documentation and support for deployments and production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Strong SQL proficiency with joins, subqueries, and optimization basics.
• Experience with maintainable code, error handling, logging and docs.
• Ability to troubleshoot data issues and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Implement SQL/PLSQL logic to support features, reporting, and data processing needs.
• Translate requirements into well‑structured database components.
• Analyze and tune SQL queries and PL/SQL for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Identify bottlenecks via execution plans and apply indexing or rewriting strategies.
• Ensure data integrity with validations, constraints, and robust exception handling.

Oracle PLSQL Senior Developer

Primary skills: Technology->Oracle->PL,SQL

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (BE/BTech/BSc) or Master’s degree equivalent (MTech/MCA/MSc).
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including joins, subqueries, aggregations, and query optimization basics.
• Experience writing maintainable code with proper error handling, logging, and documentation practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot data issues and collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing data models and working with complex schemas in Oracle databases.
• Exposure to performance tuning techniques (execution plans, indexing strategies, query refactoring).
• Familiarity with ETL/data processing patterns and batch job design using PL/SQL.
• Experience with version control and structured release practices in enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical trade‑offs and support requirement discussions.
