Job summary

Citi in Pune seeks a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer/Lead to design, develop, test, and implement Oracle-based solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications, building scalable database architectures and ETL processes.

The role emphasizes performance tuning, CI/CD integration, and automated testing; prior experience with Git and Tableau integration is a plus, and you will leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as an Oracle developer with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex database solutions.
• Experience in Agile environments and familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
• Experience with Git and continuous integration / continuous deployment pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and optimize Oracle database solutions, including PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, ETL processes, data migration scripts, and performance-tuned database objects.
• Develop and support Oracle database solutions, including packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, materialized views, and sequences, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Create and maintain database migration scripts, schema updates, release deployment packages, and automated database deployment processes.
• Design, build, and support ETL workflows, data transformation processes, validation frameworks, and batch data processing solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, data quality concerns, application integration challenges, and performance bottlenecks across environments.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization using execution plans, indexing strategies, partitioning, optimizer statistics, and Oracle diagnostic and monitoring tools.
• Support CI/CD initiatives, implementing automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and compliance practices for database solutions.
• Develop and support database unit testing, regression testing, data validation testing, and automated test support for SQL, PL/SQL, ETL, and data migration changes.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate SQL and PL/SQL development, code review, troubleshooting, documentation, testing, and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Experience in designing tables, data analysis, wiring complex queries (SQL and PL/SQL), performing tuning and table partitions.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot or other Dev Assist tools and capabilities
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues.
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization to ensure code quality and efficiency.
