Job summary

Hudson Manpower seeks a skilled electrical drafter to support AIS/GIS substations. You will draft General Arrangement drawings, SLDs, and layout plans for HV/EHV projects, and coordinate with civil and mechanical teams.

The role requires AutoCAD proficiency, BIM 360 and Revit familiarity, and certification. Diploma or BE in electrical engineering is expected, with English literacy essential.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting for AIS and GIS substations.
• Knowledge of EHV equipment, structures and layouts.
• Able to prepare General Arrangement drawings.
• Experience with Electrical Single Line Diagrams for HV/EHV substations.
• Experience with layout plans, erection diagrams, earthing & lighting layouts.
• Awareness of ANSI/IEC clearance in AIS & GIS substations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; BIM 360, Revit; MS Word/Excel; Dialux.

Responsibilities

• Draft General Arrangement drawings for AIS/GIS substations.
• Prepare electrical layouts, sections, and SLDs for HV/EHV substations.
• Create erection diagrams, earthing and lighting layouts.
• Develop cable trenches, foundation plans and BOMs.
• Coordinate with civil and mechanical drawings.
• Ensure compliance with ANSI/IEC clearance norms.

A) Job description

1. Should have experience in drafting work for both AIS & GIS substation.

2. Should have Clear concept of EHV equipment, structures, and Layouts.

3. Should be capable for preparing General arrangement drawings.

4. Hands on experience on preparation of Electrical Single Line Diagram for HV / EHV Sub-stations, LT system etc.

5. Preparation of Electrical layouts plan & Section for HV/ EHV Sub-stations.

6. Preparation of Erection Key Diagram, earthing layout, Lightening Protection Layout

7. Preparation of foundation plan & Cable trench layout.

8. Cable schedule and quantity estimation.

9. Preparation of Panel arrangement layout.

10. Preparation of Lighting layout, Conduit Layout, SLDs. BOM.

11. Coordination with civil drawings, Mechanical drawings etc.

12. Awareness of ANSI Code, IEC – Clearance requirements in AIS & GIS substations

B) Software & skills required:

1. Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD

2. BIM 360, Revit

3. MS-word, Excel

4. Dialux

Education requirement:

1) Bachelor’s degree in any stream or diploma in electrical. is MUST

2) Certification – AutoCAD is mandatory.

3) Certification in BIM & Revit will be added advantage.
