Our clinics offer a range of onsite, remote, and in-home services to clients receiving Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Dietetics and Allied Health care services. What You Will Do
  • In addition to the general OT roles & responsibilities:
  • Therapeutic use of occupations and activities, including therapeutic use of self (personality, insights, perceptions, and judgments as part of the therapeutic process)
  • Skill development in self-care, self-management, home management, and community/work/school reintegration
  • Education and support of individuals, including family members, caregivers, and others, through collaborative and family-centered approaches
  • Care coordination, case management, transition services including discharge planning, client advocacy and onward referral to relevant services
  • Modification of environments (home, work, school, community) and adaptation of processes, including ergonomic principles
  • Assessment, customization, and oversight of equipment provision including orthotic devices, and training in the use of prosthetic devices
  • Driver rehabilitation and community mobility
  • Use of natural contexts for assessment and intervention (home, school classrooms, work settings, community)
  • Application of a range of therapeutic procedures to enhance performance (e.g., wound care management, sensory, perceptual, and cognitive processing techniques, and manual therapy)
  • Taking on a broader and more varied client load
  • Completing AT assessments and reports independently
  • Supervising AHA students in clinics
  • Providing observation opportunities for new graduates and acting as a buddy for new OT hires
  • Participating in MDT training and workshops
  • Developing skills in particular clinical areas
  • You Will Also Be Responsible For
  • Managing more complex clients
  • Seeing a greater variety of clients of all types
  • Completing AT assessments and reports independently for specialized AT
  • Supervising PT and AHA students in clinic
  • Providing observation opportunities for new grads
  • Being a buddy for new grad OTs
  • Participating in MDT training and workshops
  • Building skills in particular clinical areas and providing mentoring and supervision for OT and new grad OTs
