The person will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services. Experience in the OTT, media, streaming, or digital entertainment domain will be an added advantage.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js. Build high‑performance REST APIs and microservices. Develop reusable, maintainable, and well‑structured backend components. Manage Node.js concurrency, asynchronous processing, and event‑driven workflows. Optimize event-loop utilization and identify blocking operations or performance bottlenecks. Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, indexes, and transactions. Analyse query execution plans and improve database performance. Develop and deploy cloud‑based backend services on AWS. Select and use appropriate AWS services based on application and business requirements. Integrate backend services with databases, third‑party APIs, messaging platforms, and other enterprise systems. Implement secure authentication, authorization, input validation, logging, monitoring, and error‑handling mechanisms. Troubleshoot production issues and perform root‑cause analysis. Write unit, integration, and API‑level automated tests. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, estimations, and architectural decisions. Work closely with architects, frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and product stakeholders. Support CI/CD pipelines and production deployments. Mentor junior developers and promote backend engineering best practices.
