Job summary

Serversage Cloudtech is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, configure, monitor, and manage the Data Center Network Infrastructure from our Kalyan office in Maharashtra. You will handle routing, switching, BGP, IP announcements, VLANs, and related network services across the data center environment.

The role requires 4–8 years of hands-on experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with upstream providers and vendors to ensure network reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, BGP, IP announcements, VLANs, and L2/L3 networking.
• Experience in Data Center networking and in ISP/hosting environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, subnetting and CIDR.
• Knowledge of BGP, IP Prefix Advertisement, AS Numbers and routing.
• Experience with configuring routers and routing protocols.
• Understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 switching and high-availability concepts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Data Center Network Infrastructure.
• Configure, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices.
• Handle IP address announcements and routing.
• Configure and manage BGP sessions and BGP routing.
• Work with IP Transit, upstream providers, peers, and BGP routing policies.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, PVLANs, trunking, and L2/L3 switching.
• Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols and routing tables.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, packet loss, latency, routing, and performance.
• Manage IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and network segmentation.
• Support network expansion, new server deployments, and customer connectivity requirements.
• Monitor network devices and proactively identify failures or performance issues.
• Perform network changes, upgrades, maintenance, and configuration backups.
• Maintain documentation of topology, IP allocation, VLANs, BGP configuration, and network devices.
• Coordinate with upstream providers, hardware vendors, and internal technical teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in network troubleshooting during critical incidents and outages.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of the data center network.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team and take responsibility for design, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and day-to-day management of our Data Center Network Infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience with routing, switching, BGP, IP announcement, VLANs, L2/L3 networking, routers, and data center networking.

This is a hands‑on technical role where the engineer will be responsible for maintaining network availability, performance, security, and troubleshooting network‑related issues across our data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the complete Data Center Network Infrastructure.
• Configure, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices.
• Handle IP address announcement and routing activities.
• Configure and manage BGP sessions and BGP routing.
• Work with IP Transit, upstream providers, peers, and BGP routing policies.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLAN, Private VLAN (PVLAN), trunking, and L2/L3 switching.
• Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure.

Required Technical Skills

Networking – Mandatory

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI Model, IPv4/IPv6, subnetting and CIDR.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of BGP.
• Practical experience with IP Announcement / IP Prefix Advertisement.
• Good understanding of AS Number, ASN, Prefix, Route Advertisement and BGP Peering.
• Hands‑on experience with routers and routing configuration.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switching.
