Job summary

JMT Consultants Detailing Private Limited in Noida is seeking an experienced Senior Modeler to join the Steel Detailing team. You will develop accurate 3D Tekla models and coordinate with project requirements, ensuring latest revisions are used and RFIs are handled efficiently.

The role demands 5+ years in structural steel detailing using 3D modelling and familiarity with US commercial projects, along with knowledge of AISC/OSHA codes. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with Tekla structures modeling.
• Experience with US commercial projects.
• Exposure to CISC or AISC codes for at least 3 years.
• Knowledge of X-Steel, AISC & OSHA.
• 5+ years in structural steel detailing with 3D modelling.
• Experience creating 3D Tekla models including various structural members.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D structural models in Tekla Structures based on drawings and client requirements.
• Verify input drawings and ensure latest revisions are used before modeling.
• Prepare and manage custom components, standard connections, macros, and user-defined connections.
• Review input drawings and confirm latest revisions prior to modeling.
• Interpret RFIs in the model with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Perform preliminary model checks, clash detection, and quality reviews.
• Identify transportation and erection constraints after model completion and propose practical solutions.
• Optimize modeling efficiency by reusing identical assemblies and parts.
• Train, guide and mentor junior team members to ensure quality.
• Raise and prepare RFIs when clarification is required from the client.
• Generate GA drawings, shop drawings, erection drawings, NC files, and reports.
• Prepare templates, reports, bill of materials, and title blocks as per project requirements.
• Assist Project Manager in coordinating Tekla project models and ensuring timely delivery.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Modeler to join our Steel Detailing team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate 3D structural models in Tekla Structures based on structural and architectural drawings and client requirements
• Verify input drawings and ensure the latest revisions are used before initiating the modeling process
• Prepare and manage custom components, standard connections, macros, and user-defined connections as per project and client specifications
• Review all input drawings and confirm the latest revisions prior to initiating modeling activities
• Interpret and implement RFI responses in the model with accuracy and attention to detail
• Perform preliminary model checks, clash detection, and quality reviews to ensure model integrity and coordination
• Identify transportation and erection constraints after completion of the model and propose practical solutions where required
• Optimize modeling efficiency by identifying similar connections and assigning identical assemblies and parts to minimize shop drawing quantities
• Train, guide, and mentor junior team members to ensure consistent quality and productivity.
• Raise and prepare RFIs whenever clarification is required from the client
• Generate GA drawings, shop drawings, erection drawings, NC files, and related reports in compliance with client standards
• Prepare templates, reports, bill of materials, and title blocks as per project and client requirements
• Assist the Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager in coordinating and managing Tekla project models, ensuring accuracy, compliance with project & client standards, and timely delivery of modeling output

Qualifications:

• Requires experience in Modelling using Tekla structures
• Requires experience in US Commercial Projects
• Should have exposure in any of the codes like CISC & AISC for at least 3 years
• X steel, Commercial Projects, Tekla Modeler, AISC & OSHA
• Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Structural Steel detailing using 3D modelling program
• Experience developing 3D models using Tekla software with ability to understand all types of structural members including access standards
