Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled software engineer to design and build high-performance, highly reliable systems that power modern, data-driven applications. You will take ownership of ideas from concept to production, driving innovation and continuous improvement across our platform.
Responsibilities
- Drive high-performance, highly reliable systems by designing, collaborating on, and implementing innovative algorithms and technologies (think “six 9’s”).
- Own end-to-end innovation, taking ideas from concept through shipped product and continuous improvement.
- Solve challenging technical problems with deep analysis, persistence, and strong engineering judgment.
- Understand and improve modern data-driven applications (e.g., AI, Splunk-style workloads) and how they interact with data platforms.
- Work across distributed systems including areas like operating systems, Linux, database internals, hypervisors, containers, and performance/compute efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across product management, development, system validation, support, and customers to align on architecture decisions.
- Set and achieve high engineering standards with a track record of delivering quality enterprise software and systems.
- Bring strong technical fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and concurrent programming (threads, synchronization, and scalability).
- Demonstrate strong software engineering skills with proficiency in C/C++/Python/Java/Go (or similar) and solid object-oriented design.
- Contribute to production excellence and uptime by understanding deployments, reliability, and availability expectations for enterprise infrastructure.
