The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team builds and manages a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. OCI is committed to providing the best in cloud products that meet the needs of our customers who are tackling some of the world’s biggest challenges.

This is an opportunity to become a part of Virtual Networking Control Plane organization, a core OCI team that owns and manages networking resources in virtual and functional layers. We serve internal customers in OCI and external customers that use virtual networking APIs and workflows.

Virtual Networking team delivers Network-as-a-Service that handles planning, provisioning, life cycle management and security of our customers' network infrastructure. We are shaping the management of network infrastructure by providing the flexibility and simplicity of a virtual network but with the manageability and control of a software defined network (SDN).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale distributed software services and solutions to manage Virtual Networking Resource in OCI.
• Write high quality and maintainable code by leveraging design reviews, code reviews, unit tests and integration tests.
• Develop complete solutions by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored, compliant and reusable.
• Focus on customer needs through a data driven approach.
• Collaborate with other team members working on the same project to meet customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automation for reliability, performance, and availability.

Qualifications & Skills

• B.Tech (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development with programming languages esp. in Java 11, Spring boot, DropWizard framework.
• 1+ year of experience designing and developing distributed systems and services.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify areas for improvement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in managing cloud infrastructure with hundreds of thousands of servers.
• Experience in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in scheduling high-performance workloads on Kubernetes.
