Worley is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Chennai, India to lead mechanical static equipment design for vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks and related equipment. You will prepare and check data sheets, vendor documents, and drawings while guiding a team of static engineers.

BE/B.Tech Mechanical with 15+ years of experience and proficiency in PV Elite, Compress and MS Office are required. Indian work rights are mandatory.

• Knowledge of local and international standards and regulatory specifications.

• Must have current unrestricted working rights for India.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and check Material requisitions, specifications, data sheets, ITPs and related docs.
• Prepare and review mechanical design calculations and verification of designs.
• Evaluate vendor offers and prepare Technical Bid Reports.
• Prepare Purchase Order documents and facilitate procurement.
• Review GA drawings, calculations and fabrication drawings with vendors.
• Lead the static equipment engineering team and mentor junior engineers.
• Upskill engineers with lesser experience in static equipment.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve engineering issues and develop solutions.
• Interface with clients to resolve engineering issues and changes.
• Organize cross-discipline and vendor/client meetings for issue resolution.
• Provide progress reporting for project activities.
• Ensure designs comply with project specs and design standards.

The Role

As a Manager I, Mechanical Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients for the various static equipment including Pressure Vessels Columns Heat Exchangers Storage Tanks Filters and Associated Equipment

• Preparation and checking of Material requisitions, Specifications, Data sheets, ITP etc
• Prepare and check mechanical design calculations and verify designs.
• Vendor offer evaluation and preparation of Technical Bid reports.
• Preparation of Purchase Order documents.
• Vendor document review including review and approval of GA drawings, calculations and fabrication drawings.
• Lead the team of static equipment engineers and provide technical guidance to the team to perform the required job.
• Capable to upskill the static equipment engineers with lesser experience.
• Coordination with other disciplines for resolution of various Engineering issues and development.
• Coordination with the Client for resolution of Engineering issues and developments.
• Organizing different meetings with different disciplines, Vendors, Client for resolution of various Engineering issues/activities.
• Progress reporting for the various Project activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and design standards.

• ASME Section VIII Div. 1 & 2
• ASME Section I & II
• TEMA API Standards (where applicable)

Ensure designs meet statutory and regulatory requirements.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Engineering experience in the same or similar industry.
• BE /B.Tech Mechanical with 15+ Years experience in the field of Mechanical static equipment design.
• Sound technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
• A working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of Mechanical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
• A working knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
• Competent use of Mechanical engineering specific software and relevant software such as PV Elite, Compress, MS Office Suite, etc.
• You must have current unrestricted working rights for India to be eligible for consideration and only those candidates with appropriate qualifications and experience will be contacted directly.
