Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Pod Lead - Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (Terminal Bench Science) for a remote contract role. Immediate start for a pod of technical trainers focusing on mechanical and aerospace engineering tasks, reviews, and validation.

The candidate will mentor, ensure quality, and maintain documentation across FEA, CFD, and propulsion modeling domains. Strong programming and written communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., postdoctoral experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, Fortran or MATLAB/Octave.
• Hands-on experience with FEA, CFD, dynamics or propulsion modelling.
• Good understanding of engineering simulation and numerical methods.
• Experience reviewing complex technical work and simulations.
• Excellent written communication and feedback skills.
