Mechanical Design Engineer – Water/Wastewater Systems

Remote | Full-Time | 4+ Years Experience

100% Remote (India-based applicants) | Work with a U.S. Company

Salary: ₹75,000 – ₹1,20,000/month

A U.S.-based engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in civil site plans, piping systems, and water/wastewater treatment projects.

This is a remote, full-time role for engineers based in India, working U.S. Eastern Time (night shift in India)..

This is a hands-on role for engineers who can bring both design precision and real-world installation experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Design mechanical piping, pumps, blowers, and compressor systems
• Perform pipeline and pump sizing using hydraulic calculations
• Create professional AutoCAD drawing sets
• Design concrete and steel support structures
• Specify, purchase, and support installation of mechanical equipment
• Collaborate with civil/process/electrical teams

What You’ll Need:

• 4+ years in mechanical or process design for water/wastewater/industrial systems
• Strong foundation in civil and hydraulic engineering
• Proven experience with AutoCAD
• Familiarity with piping layouts, pump sizing, and equipment installation
• Excellent English communication skills

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Background in Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant design
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterCAD)
