Job description

Responsibilities

• Identify and log software defects on the platform through structured, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Review, analysis, and test case creation.
• Test case maintenance in compliance with software evolution, requirements, and traceability tracking.
• Detailed analysis of reported problems, bug analysis, bug verification, and tracking.
• Perform regular reviews and conduct retrospection meetings to achieve high-quality results.
• Independently handle both vehicle testing and bench testing requests.
• Collaborate with various test teams to improvise and evolve existing test strategies. Identify, plan, and perform manual and automated software testing.
• Perform session-based exploratory testing.
• Identify, plan, and perform endurance-based testing or life testing to verify functionality over a long period of ignition cycles.
• Identify software issues and transfer problem issues into the issue tracking system with supporting log files and data.
• Record, process, and analyze data with PC-based tools and test instrumentation. Participate in internal and customer test drives.
• Provide technical support for the resolution of various customer and interdepartmental issues on an as-needed basis.
• Participation in internal and external test drives with customer participation.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other similar specialization.
• 7+ years testing experience.
• Good understanding of embedded systems and automotive products.
• Good understanding of automotive infotainment systems.
• Understand the SW and HW architecture of various platform variants.
• Have a good understanding of the technical aspects of a wide range of equipment, including computers, software, and hardware.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the different Telematics domains like OTA, GNSS, E-Call, Positioning, 4G/5G, WiFi.
• Good knowledge of diagnostic protocols UDS, SOVD.
• Experience in system test methods, processes, error management and tools.
• Familiar with Jira, Confluence, MS Office, and database administration tools.
• Knowledge of standard industry communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.
• Team player skills with a “can do” attitude.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnosis topics and diagnostic communication protocols used in electronic control units.
• Knowledge of the V-model software development process.
• ISTQB certification and ASPICE knowledge.
