Job summary

Nike Global Technology is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead multiple software teams within SCPT. You will drive architectural decisions for enterprise-scale, cloud-native systems and partner with product managers to deliver strategic initiatives.

The role requires strong people leadership, deep technical expertise in modern web stacks, DevOps, AI/ML-driven approaches, and success in global, cross-functional environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 12 to 15 years of professional experience with minimum 5+ years management experience of high performing software engineering.
• Strong focus on engineering hygiene including code quality, test automation, observability, documentation, security, and operational excellence.
• Leading full-stack DevOps teams including development, testing, and operations.
• Experience directly managing and developing engineering teams of 10+ people with coaching and performance management.
• Hands-on experience with distributed/cloud environments (AWS, Databricks) and modern web tech (Java, Rest, Python).
• Experience with planning SaaS platforms (o9, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, SAP APO/IBP).
• Experience in at least one supply chain domain (demand, manufacturing, planning, inventory, deployment, distribution).
• AI-first mindset applying Gen AI/AI/ML to solve problems.

Who You Will Work With

You will be a part of the larger Global Technology organization working on Nike’s internal Supply Chain and Planning Technology (SCPT) and reporting to the team’s Engineering Director. You will work day-to-day with a team of engineers, the team’s Product Manager and Principal Engineers in the organization on software projects to achieve Nike’s business objectives. You will also engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals

• Must have a strong focus on engineering hygiene and the ability to establish, influence, and guide teams in adopting sound engineering practices, including code quality, test automation, observability, documentation, security, and operational excellence.
• Demonstrated experience leading full-stack DevOps teams, including development, testing, and operations.
• Must have demonstrated experience directly managing and developing engineering teams of 10 or more people, including coaching, performance management, talent development, and building high-performing team cultures
• Hands-on experience with distributed/cloud-based environments (AWS and Databricks) and modern web technologies (Java, Rest, Python), and both NoSQL and relational databases.
• Preferred: Practical experience with leading planning SaaS platforms such as o9, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, or SAP APO / SAP IBP.
• Must have experience in at least one supply chain domain area, such as demand planning, manufacturing, supply planning, inventory planning, deployment planning, or distribution requirements planning, along with hands-on experience in S/4HANA or SAP AFS.
• Must have a proven ability to adopt and champion an AI-first mindset, applying Gen AI, AI/ML, and agentic tools and technologies to solve business problems and drive measurable impact.
• Strong understanding of agile principles, Scrum, and product model delivery within large portfolios.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse technical and business audiences.
