The eBay Services Risk Strategy function works to ensure phenomenal experiences when buyers and sellers come together and engage in commerce on the biggest marketplace in the world. This involves accurately understanding Payments Processing & Risk Managment on the platform, identifying the opportunity areas and helping build scalable solutions to drive outstanding user experience.
The team’s focus is to ensure the integrity of our marketplace for buyers and sellers who transact with us every single day. The scope of our charter includes Risk Strategy, Policy, and Vendor Management -- working across Product and Engineering, Decision Sciences, third party Risk services, and Global Operations to deliver innovative and scalable solutions to ensure healthy marketplace growth. This position involves working across multiple, integral teams within eBay, leaning on experience with Payments and Financial Services to drive innovation.
Successful candidates should be quick learners, strategic problem solvers and execution driven facilitators, with a keen sense of business insight and attention to details. This role is heavily cross functional and ideal for candidates who enjoy defining and solving complex problems and driving towards innovative solutions. Quantitative and analytics problem-solving skills will be essential along with a demonstration of exceptional interpersonal skills, initiative and integrity.
