Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the engine assembly line in our Mumbai facility. You will manage day-to-day operations across all shifts, develop staff, and drive improvements in safety, cost, and quality while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a BE in Mechanical Engineering with 12–15 years of experience, and a proven track record in large diesel engine manufacturing. This is a high-responsibility manufacturing leadership position based in Mumbai.

Role Definition

Senior manager position to manage the engine assembly line. Manages the day-to-day operations of all shifts of a large diesel engine manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities
  • Managing staffing, development, and performance management programs for operations staff; managing, motivating, and developing management team.
  • Overseeing operations activities, ensuring that safety, and schedules and performance requirements are met and system resources are used effectively.
  • Driving improvements for overall operations performance and implementing production safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms.
  • Ensures the compliance of all regulatory guidelines and forges a safe and sound manufacturing environment.

BE Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 12 to 15 Years of Experience
