Job summary

Equifax is expanding its Workforce Solutions unit in India and seeks a Senior Product Manager to own the localized income and employment verification suite. You will shape the product strategy, drive API-first delivery, and partner with banks and enterprises to embed verification into onboarding.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience with 3+ years as a Product Manager in FinTech/HR-Tech or B2B SaaS data products.
• Deep understanding of income verification, VOE, salary structure dynamics in India.
• Hands-on experience building and launching REST APIs, SDKs, and webhook-driven platforms.
• Strong familiarity with India's DPDP Act.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA desirable.

Equifax is a global data, analytics, and technology company. Equifax Workforce Solutions (EWS) is a flagship business unit globally, acting as the premier provider of human capital insights and verification services. In India, EWS is expanding its footprint to deliver instant, digital verification of income and employment status. We help financial institutions, fintechs, and corporate employers automate risk assessment, talent onboarding, and background screening.

As the Senior Product Manager for Workforce Solutions, you will own the localized product strategy, execution, and scaling of Equifax’s income and employment verification suite in India. Your primary goal will be to build automated, API-first verification products that replace manual, friction-heavy processes (like physical salary slips, manual bank statement uploads, and background verification phone calls). This role sits at the intersection of FinTech, HR-Tech, and RegTech. It requires an entrepreneurial product leader who understands B2B SaaS, payroll systems, HR software integrations, and open data frameworks.

What you’ll do

• Define the roadmap for Equifax Workforce Solutions in India. Adapt global verification capabilities to solve specific local use cases for retail lenders (loan underwriting) and corporate enterprises (employee background screening).
• Drive product integrations with core data suppliers, including HR Management Systems (HRMS), payroll processors, gig-economy platforms etc.
• Design, deploy, and optimize developer-friendly, high-throughput verification APIs and drop-in UI workflows that lenders and employers can easily embed into their onboarding journeys.
• Collaborate with Sales and Growth teams to define product pricing models, tier structures, and positioning strategies. Act as the primary domain expert in front of key banking and corporate enterprise clients.
• Actively monitor and optimize end-consumer consent flows. Ensure that the digital journey for an applicant sharing their employment or income data is friction-free, secure, and fast.
• Lead product strategy, road-mapping and design to align to market demand and strategic goals.
• Create product roadmaps and understand and decide prioritization of product build and deployments.
• Makes decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plan
• Defines product requirements and collaborates with cross functional team to implement product ideas
• Create product collateral and supporting material for sales team, train and assist the sales team on client queries
• Work with Sales on a regular basis in order to get product feedback and understand client expectations,
• Track revenue and support business in achieving targets
• Identify, implement and manage product partnerships to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
• Engage with global product teams to leverage best practices and global trends.

What experience you need

• 6+ years of professional experience, with at least 3+ years as a Product Manager in FinTech (Lending tech, digital KYC/onboarding), HR-Tech (Payroll software, HRMS systems), or B2B SaaS data products.
• Deep understanding of income verification, verification of employment (VOE), salary structure dynamics in India, and retail credit underwriting friction points.
• Hands-on experience building and launching REST APIs, SDKs, and webhook-driven platforms . Strong understanding of data security protocols and OAuth/consent management frameworks.
• Strong familiarity with India's evolving digital public registries and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a top-tier institution is highly desirable.
