Job Purpose

Assistant Manager encompasses overseeing all aspects of mining operations, from planning and execution to resource management and quality control. Responsible for ensuring adherence to approved plans and safety protocols, the Manager directs drilling, blasting, and coal seam removal activities, guiding shift leaders to meet production targets. Collaborating closely with colliery engineers, they facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and preparatory works, while also managing equipment maintenance and contractor relations. The Manager plays a pivotal role in driving productivity, cost reduction, and safety enhancement measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and DGMS standards.

Assistant Manager - Mine Ops Operational Oversight

Direct overall mining operations, encompassing planning, execution, and monitoring of techniques and methods. Ensure efficient resource planning to optimize productivity and meet production targets.

Strategic Planning and Resource Allocation

Develop and execute strategic plans for effective resource allocation, aligning with production goals. Optimize equipment operations and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.

Technical Expertise and Methodology Enhancement

Stay abreast of industry advancements and emerging mining techniques, integrating innovative methods into operations. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to refine mining methodologies and enhance operational effectiveness.

Safety Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols, conducting regular inspections to identify and mitigate risks. Promote a culture of safety among team members, fostering awareness and compliance with safety standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy digital tools that align with business objectives. Ensure the effective utilization of digital platforms to improve team efficiency and productivity.
