Ather Energy in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar seeks a Manufacturing Finance Partner Projects to own the end-to-end financial agenda for brownfield expansion, capex controls, and government incentives.

You will transition into Plant Finance Partner handling plant costing, AOP, and operational decision support while shaping a robust financial architecture and ensuring regulatory compliance across the manufacturing units.

Qualifications

• CA or MBA in Finance with manufacturing experience.
• Experience in greenfield/brownfield capex budgeting and Ind AS capitalisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage project capex budgeting, feasibility studies, vendor evaluations, and cash outflows with Ind AS capitalisation.
• Own site government incentive claims and statutory liaisons with authorities (MIDC/AURIC, DIC, GST).
• Oversee plant costing, BOM cost validations, conversion/overhead absorption, and monthly manufacturing close with cost-reduction roadmaps.
• Act as financial partner to Plant Head, executing plant AOP, quarterly forecasts, KPI tracking, and make-vs-buy evaluations.
• Ensure Ind AS compliance, internal controls, ICFR testing, audits, working capital, inventory valuations, and asset verification.
• Establish plant financial architecture from scratch: ERP cost centers, approval workflows, SOPs, and reporting automation.

About the Team and the Role

The Corporate Finance & Accounts team at Ather is responsible for managing financial operations, driving cost optimization, controlling project expenditures, maintaining regulatory compliance, and delivering strategic decision support across manufacturing units.

This role is for a Manufacturing Finance Partner Projects (moving into Plant Finance Business Partner) who will initially own the end-to-end financial agenda for the brownfield expansion at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar—including capex control, statutory approvals, and government incentives—and transition into the Plant Finance Business Partner driving plant costing, AOP, and operational decision support.

Responsibilities

• Manage project capex budgeting, financial feasibility studies, techno-commercial vendor evaluations, and project cash outflows while overseeing rigid Ind AS capitalisation and CWIP tracking.
• Own site government incentive claims, statutory liaisons with authorities (MIDC/AURIC, DIC, GST, etc.), compliance dashboards, and regulatory tax management.
• Oversee plant costing, BOM cost validations, conversion and overhead absorption, and lead the monthly manufacturing close along with cost-reduction roadmaps (VAVE, localisation).
• Act as financial partner to the Plant Head, executing plant AOP, quarterly forecasts, manufacturing finance KPI tracking, and operational make-versus-buy evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS, internal controls, and ICFR testing while managing internal/external audits, working capital, inventory valuations, and asset verification.
• Establish plant financial architecture from scratch, including ERP cost centers, approval workflows, SOPs, and production-finance reporting automation.

Experience and Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance from a Tier-1 institute
• 6–8 years of post-qualification experience in finance, with a substantial part in a manufacturing plant environment and hands‑on exposure to plant set‑up or expansion

Must Have Competencies

• Greenfield or brownfield manufacturing capex budgeting, project accounting, and Ind AS capitalisation control.
• Government incentives modelling, scheme claim filing, and quasi-government statutory liaison management.
• Comprehensive plant costing, standard costing, conversion cost validation, and variance analysis.
• High proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel financial modelling.

Good to Have Competencies

• Plant financial architecture establishment, ERP master setup, and GRN-to-payment workflow design.
• Production-finance data integration and automated reporting system implementation.
• Working knowledge of Ind AS, GST, and statutory provisions related to manufacturing plant operations.
• Domain experience in the automotive or 2‑wheeler manufacturing sector.
